Meet Our Faculty

Our faculty consist of experienced, trained professionals chosen for their warmth, creativity, experience with children, and commitment to excellence. We employ individuals who are nurturing, who understand child development and developmentally appropriate practices, and who respect each child as an individual. We seek employees who value collaboration with parents and colleagues and are passionate about the role they play. Our faculty encourages mutual respect for an individual’s personal characteristics. Many of our staff members are bilingual, exposing our children to different languages, cultures, and traditions.

Your child’s safety is our priority. Each faculty member has gone through a stringent background screening process which includes fingerprinting and FBI background checks, as well as screening through the Sex Offender Registry under the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act.

You want the best for your child. High quality early childhood education programs have a huge impact on your child’s future. Children enrolled in programs like ours,

  • Are nearly half as likely to be retained in elementary school
  • Graduate high school at higher rates
  • Are 24% more likely to own their own home
  • 18% more likely to be employed
  • 53% less likely to have multiple arrests
  • Earn more money
  • Are able to maintain healthy relationships

Here at Michelle’s International Learning House we are committed to giving your child the best possible early childhood education experience. Your child will be provided with fun, memory making days that will inspire a life-long love of learning. You can be assured you are giving your child the best possible care because we have been doing this for more than 45 years.

Director:

Ms. Chevelle

I am so excited to be a part of MILH! I come to MILH having a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from University of Central Florida and a Master of Education in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University. I have been teaching for eight (8) years and I absolutely enjoy what I do. I am a proud Broward school certified teacher who has taught Pre-K through 3rd grade. At the tender age of twenty-one (21) I knew right from the start that being an educator was what I was meant to do. Working with children affords me a chance to see things through their eyes, to learn something new every day, and to see a better future through your children. Each day brings a new discovery, a new idea, shared explorations, and lots and lots of laughter.

In addition, I have two (2) beautiful girls of my own, so I am acutely aware of how difficult it is to entrust your child to someone else’s care. For that reason, our promise to you is that your child will become an integral part of our school family and receive the same attention, love, and education they need to build a strong foundation. Our faculty is focused on your child’s happiness, wellbeing, and success.

We educate our children through play and engaging activities in all the core subject areas (reading, math, language arts, science, social studies, emotional and physical development), as well as instilling values, independence, problem-solving skills, and responsibility.
